Day shift: 7:30AM - 4:00PM
Starting Wage: $25/HR

We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team.
Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a roll form machine used to manufacture steel garage door skins. Your tasks will include setting up and adjusting the roll form machine for different production runs based on the specifications on the order, including ensuring the correct steel gauge, dimensions, and tolerances are met. You will be expected to monitor the machine's operation throughout the production cycle, checking for any issues such as misfeeds, material defects, or mechanical malfunctions. This includes adjusting machine settings as needed to maintain product quality and ensure efficiency.
Quality control will be a key aspect of your job; you will be required to measure and inspect the steel skins using various tools to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards. If there are any discrepancies or defects, you will work to adjust the machine and re-run the production process to correct the issue.
Essential Duties:
- Setup and adjust roll form machine for different production runs based on specifications.
- Monitor the operation of the machine to ensure proper material feed and smooth production flow.
- Inspect and measure finished product to ensure quality. Address any defects or discrepancies by adjusting machine settings.
- Perform routine inspections of machines and equipment to ensure proper function. Recommend and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Perform PM on the machines daily.
- Loading finished product onto racks for other departments.
- Occasional forklift operation.
- Work with other departments as necessary to ensure high quality and efficient production.
- Track production data and record progress, issues or downtime.
- Follow all safety protocols.
- Maintains a high level of quality to eliminate mistakes.

- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Skilled hand/eye coordination.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to read and interpret job specs.
- Ability to perform basic math skills.
- Sound judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills in all situations.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and written, to ensure a clear understanding of work instructions and safety protocols.
